A new owl jersey - with our design!

Once again this year, we had the great opportunity to support the Eulen Ludwigshafen in the development of their new home and away jerseys - this time for the 2023/24 season! As a reminder: the designs for the Owls' jerseys have already been created by us in the last two years. Back then it was about DNA and fire, this year it was exciting again...

"Our heart beats differently..."

"...our heart beats strong, we have an owl heart!" - This is the motto for the Owls going into the new season and it is also the motto for which we were asked to develop a jersey concept. Our first approach was therefore very clear: heartbeats should definitely be integrated into the design of the jersey. The more, the better - not only because the jersey would have looked a bit empty with just one heartbeat, but also to reflect the Owls' huge fanbase!

"We have an owl heart!"

What's this motto all about? How does the owl's heart beat differently? We racked our brains over these questions for a long time. In the end, however, the answer was very obvious: how does an owl's heart beat differently from an ordinary heartbeat? Well, by integrating the owl itself into the heartbeat! So in the next step, we took the owl from the owl logo and adapted it so that it fits perfectly into the owl heartbeat:

A new owl jersey - different and classic at the same time!

Of course, we wanted our concept to be different from previous years and we wanted to try something new once again. But what should definitely not be missing from an Owls jersey? Of course: the owl red! The basis of the Owls home jersey should therefore once again be a rich Owls red. For the away jersey, we stayed true to the tradition of recent years and opted for colorful heartbeats against a black background:

The design is set!

That was the work on our side. Together with feedback from the Owls, we were able to develop the design shown here for the Owls' home and away jerseys. Now it was time to hand over the reins to Craft, the Owls' new outfitter. They turned our concept into the final jerseys - and did a great job!

Although we've done it for the third year in a row now, it's incredible every season to see the jerseys "in real life", in the Eberthalle and on the handball court!
